Under age teams?????

Ok im 14 and I really want to get into airsoft and im wondering if an under age team might start up???Im willing to pay for all my own equipment and AEG's etc.

well I know that.but my sister will let me use her credit card.and i thought there wasnt an age limit to play????

im afraid that is not true, airsoft devices are toys and there is no
age requirements to buy them BUT the IAA and retailers have said that
they should not be sold to under 18s and the retailers that are affiliates (or want to be responsible retailers) follow this, a lot of sites have a limit on the age due to insurance and so forth

well the ghosts(dublin airsofters have an under18 team?????????????

i know mad ozzie put the age restiction at CTG due to the insurance and the nature of the site at the moment

so is there any chance of one starting up at all ????

Not through cork airsoft as we have set an 18+ age limit ,you could contact vince the local iaa rep for info as we are following their guidelines ,hope this helps answer your question.

it would be better to word that as not thougth CTG at the moment, as new sites in cork open up there may be opening for younger ages, i know that there was talk of even if ctg got round to moving and the situation changed with this site then it might be open up more, but that is in the future.

The club has set the age limit aswell for membership to 18+ for the meanwhile .Insurance cover is for 18+ at ctg.

well its all one in the same really you have to be a member to play at ctg at the moment ( no walk ons ) so the age limit of 18+ is inforced.

The 18+ age limit was imposed when the club was first set up, it was a choose the management made due to a number of factors, some examples are, the site at the moment is very 'work in progress' facilitys are mininmal at the moment e.g. no toilets as such, the site is very much off the beaten track and situated at the site owners house.

The site/club is non profit and is ment as a stepping stone to bigger and better which will be open to more, but at the moment to get this off the ground limitations had to be put in place, i know that the owner of the site is very much into trying to build up the airsoft community in cork and get more and more people playing so any restrictions put on the club at this moment in time are there for good reasons.
